Check out this shot of our Xbox 360 being displayed with an M1+ Micro Projector from Aaxa Tech. This little lady is preparing for some Halo 3 action on the big screen. The color and clarity of the M1+ was more than enough to handle the high speed gaming graphics.

Projector Central M1 Review: Highly Rated
Last week the folks over at Projector Central finally got their hand on an M1 from Aaxa tech to review. They rated it 5 stars on features and value. The M1 isn’t quite small enough to be considered a “pico” projector but can still fit in the palm of your hand. It is more well known as a micro projector. The little bit of extra size has allowed a large increase in power and capabilities.

Picoprojector.Org Video Comparison
via picoprojector.org
picoprojector.org has made this great video showing 3 different pico projectors running head to head. We definitely recommend checking it out and heading over to their site for more full reviews. Great video guys!
How to get Video-Out on your iPhone
If you own a pico projector and planned on using it with your iPhone you may have noticed that hardly anything works except video’s, youtube, and slideshows. If you are confident in your abilities as a techie you can jailbreak your iPhone and install a special app that makes all your apps run with video out. We obviously can’t tell you that your iPhone will be fine and dandy if you do this, there are a lot of risks involved in jailbreaking and Apple will void your warranty, but there are millions of iPhone users who jailbreak theirs. There are a lot of forums you can find online with the correct procedure for jailbreaking your iPhone based on your current software. Good luck!
Jakks Eyeclops Nominated for “Worst Toy of the Year”
The ‘Campaign for a Commercial Free Childhood’ has released their list for the worst toys of the year. Among them is the Jakks Eyeclops mini projector which can be bought at toysRus. We agree this might be a good nomination, though for completely different reasons than they believe. Pico projectors can be great toys as long as they are used in moderation. As with everything, it comes down to good parenting. If you are going to get a mini projector we would recommend one with a little more power and quality than that the Jakks though.
You can go place your vote from among the toys nominated at democracyinaction.org
No Need to Complain About the PSP’s Small Screen
Regretting buying the PSP because of its’ small screen? Wishing you had another option. Well these guys discovered that the PSP can connect directly into their pico projector. We recommend buying a longer cord than they show here or an adapter so you aren’t bound to sit so close to the projector, but the idea is very clever. This PSP is shown successfully connected to a P2 Pico Projector from Aaxa Technologies.
Update: Archos Requires a Dock for Use with Projector
We are now waiting on our Archos dock to run our Archos demo with. We found that the Archos does not come standard with the appropriate outputs we need. After searching the forums we found that the battery dock is the best option for Archos users since it extends the battery life and provides the needed outputs. We look forward to sharing our demo with you soon!
Archo’s feature Coming Soon
We recently got our hands on a new Archos media player. The Archos is a perfect tool for pico projectors. We will be doing a feature showing them off together later this week. Check back soon!
Update: Connecting Your Pico to a MacBook
Hi All!
So after receiving our adapter in the mail that we wrote about last week we realized that the adapter will plug a DVI end into the Mini-Port in the MacBook. From there you would need a second adapter that converts DVI to VGA, however doing this does not work. We were lucky enough to have one laying around and tested it out. If you don’t get the “Mini Port to VGA,” and try to convert the DVI to VGA instead, the Mac will not recognize that the projector is connected to the computer. We ordered the correct part this time and expect it soon. So in summary, only buy a Mini Port to VGA adapter to make this work.
